Hello friends! I am finally sharing what my friend Jennifer and I have been working on. I’m so excited to share this Advent study with you all. My hope in creating this, is that it not only draws you closer to the Lord as you rest in His Word and all He has done for us. I also pray it draws you and your family closer together this season. Dwelling in the scriptures together and rejoicing in the first advent of our Savior!
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
The Bible says the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus is the full expression of God. He came from the Father to draw us near to Him. He came to reveal God to us. Jesus is the incarnate Word. Fully God and Fully Man. Everything that God wants to communicates to us, He does through Jesus.
Immanuel, God with us.
The Bible also says The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it — John 1:5
The Light (Jesus) shines in the darkness. He came into this dark world as the light of the world. The Light exposes our sinfulness and illuminates the way to our salvation. He is the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. All those who believe in Christ are called His children, the children of light will triumph because Jesus has triumphed. Praise God!! I pray this incredible truth brings you hope and peace this season! Glory to God in the highest!
