Each morning after I very slowly crawl out of bed…where are my non morning people at? I’m going to be completely honest with y’all even though I get up early it’s not necessarily because I enjoy mornings, haha. I’ve simply slowly trained myself to do it, even when I don’t want to. It took effort and laying down my own flesh desires to not get up, get in the word and start my day productively before my house wakes up. I was listening to Mothering from the Heart and she reminded us that being a mom and homemaker is humbling job, but God sees us where we are and he is exalted when we humble ourselves and serve our families out of love and obedience. I pray this reminder blesses you today, like it blessed me!
Here is how I’ve found rhythm in my days at home.
6:30-6:45 WAKE UP + GET IN THE WORD I try to be mindful and not pick up my phone first thing. I like to first get my coffee going, grab my morning basket and unload the dishwasher.
6:45 READ MY BIBLE + SIP ON MY COFFEE
7:30 KIDDOS ARE USUALLY AWAKE BY NOW. My kiddos are usually up by 7:30 and I get them all set up with breakfast. After that we work on getting ready for the day and cleaning up from breakfast.
8:00 MAKE BEDS
8:00-8:30 WORK ON HOMEMAKING TASKS. From about 8:00-9:00/9:30 I like to get started on my homemaking tasks for the day. If I don’t complete these task then I will work on them later in the day.
9:30 START SCHOOL
2:00 SCHOOL. By 2:00-2:30 school is usually over and I’ll take this time to get outside with the kiddos, they will have quiet time/screen time and I’ll work on any homemaking tasks that weren’t done in the morning
4:30 START SUPPER. I usually start supper around this time and once we eat the boys helps clean up and the rest of the evening is family time.
7:30-8:00 FINAL CLEAN UP. Before bedtime we always do one last clean up/tidy so that we are able to go to sleep with picked up spaces.
Once the kiddos are in bed my husband and I spend some time together and I usually finish out the night by reading my bible or devotional.

School Rhythm
9:00 Morning Basket
9:30 Math
10:15 Break
10:30 Language Arts
11:30 Lunch
12:00 M-W-F History/Geography & off days are Science
1:00 Tea Time – Reading followed by Piano Practice
2:00 Screen Time + Play Time + Outside Play

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends! I hope this encourages and helps you form a routine that works for your family and home and if you have one in place that’s been working for you, I would love to hear about it!
Blessings,
Bree
That seems like a great schedule! I hope to maintain something similar with my own family.

Having a structured schedule when my kids were little helps so much. Also being organized and tidy helped with melt downs and cleaning up afterwards because everything had a place to go. You have a beautiful home.
