Hi-ya there, friends. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve taken the time to pop in on the blog. Sometimes it’s just hard to set aside the time and other times it’s just hard to feel inspired enough to write and share. I find myself feeling both ways pretty often lately.

The other week I shared some of my favorite items on my Instagram stories that I’ve been using lately and I received a lot of feedback that you guys love getting honest recommendations and product suggestions from people. I thought it’d be fun to do a monthly roundup here on the blog. I personally love hearing about products and items that people genuinely love and use for themselves and in their homes so I’m excited that I also get the opportunity to share with all of you!

If you follow along on Instagram then you know I’m always on the hunt for healthier options in all areas whether it be home, food, or self care. About 2 years ago I switched out my old deodorant and began trying healthier alternatives. I finally found the brand that works best for me, Native. I recently tried a different fragrance I was using the one with lime and something or other in it and switched to the coconut and vanilla and I looooove it!

I also recently switched out my old foundation. I had tried Beauty Counter and I really really wanted to love it but it bothered my skin. That’s not to say I won’t give it another try at a later date, but I decided to purchase Bare Minerals. I had used it 10 + years ago but was too cheap at the time to keep buying it. I’ve learned over the years that quality is important and sometimes it’s better to pay a little more to get better quality. Now I know Bare Minerals isn’t perfect. I don’t think Beauty Counter is either. I think it’s almost impossible to find perfect products that are 100% good for us but my goal isn’t perfection. My goal is to be intentional and mindful and make the best choice that I can based off of my circumstances and resources that are available to me. All that to say I’m so glad I chose to try Bare Minerals again. I’m absolutely loving the foundation and I also scooped up their bronzer and I’m loving that too.

I’m also including my Old Navy Field Jacket [which just so happens to be on sale right now] I wear this jacket allllll the time and I’ve even considered buying a backup just in case something happens to mine because I love it that much.

Just like with self care, I also try to be mindful about the products I use in my home. I switched from regular candles to beeswax almost 2 years ago now. I’ve learned how to make my own, I actually have a blog post about that here. Though I enjoy making them, sometimes its just way easier to buy them. I’m including my fave beeswax candles in this months roundup. I love that beeswax offers me the ability to still get that cozy and intimate vibe in my home, but without all the nasty stuff that can be found in candles and wax warmers. I’ve also included the coffee sock in this months roundup. I purchased mine a month or so ago and I’m so happy that I did. I love that I’m not constantly throwing filters away. It’s help me to cut back on waste and be more mindful + plus my coffee still tastes great!

Beeswax Candles from Honey Run Farms you can find them on Etsy, HERE // Coffee Sock – June Supply Co. Also available on Amazon // Gathre Mat – I love my mini in ginger

I shared on Instagram that I’ve been laminating all the things…and I wasn’t joking. I literally use my new laminator almost every day, haha. If you don’t have one you definitely need one!! I’ve also included a few other recent purchases. I ordered a desk size map for our school room. We don’t have a lot of wall space to hang a large map. I was really happy to find this desk map on Amazon. The quality is nice and it’s super affordable! I’m also including our hanging wall map that I have in my sons room because I get questions about it all the time! And if you’re looking for a fun game to play with your kiddos I highly recommend this Bird Bingo. Seriously our whole family loves it! Not only is it fun to play but it can be used educationally as well. Sometimes we’ll pick a bird and research it a little bit to learn more about it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends! I hope this post was helpful! Id love to hear what products you’re loving or if you try any of these, I love to hear your thought!

  1. If you’re still looking for toxin-free options for makeup and beauty products try Follain or Anthropologie. I know Follain has a first-time purchase discount going on. I’ve switched almost everything over with the exception of lipstick and eye makeup.
