Spring at Home | A Tour

Happy spring, dear friends! How sweet are those words to your ears? I know they are to mine.

for behold, the winter is past;
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth,
the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtledove
is heard in our land.
Song of Solomon 2:11-12

Yesterday I shared a little spring home tour in my stories on Instagram. I love sharing our little home with all of you, so I figured I’d document it here on the blog as well. I think of this space [and instagram] as a journal of sorts. I always enjoy looking back at things we’ve done and how far we’ve come. I hope you enjoy coming here. I hope you find encouragement and inspiration here. I’m a true lover of making home and believe no matter what season of life we are in, what our circumstances are, or where life has us at the present we have the opportunity and ability to make our dwelling place special for all those who enter. It doesn’t have to be perfect [expensive, over the top, intricate] to be good.

I didn’t buy anything new really…well except some thrifted duckies. But otherwise I used what I had and kept things as I always do, simple.

A view of where the boys and I have morning time each day. We’ll read, sing a song, read scripture, practice piano talk about the day ahead. It’s a sweet time, sometimes not as calm as I’d like. Sometimes they are playing toys and puzzles on the floor or off in la la land, but I know they are listening and learning.

I love sitting in this chair each morning. It gets the morning sun and I find myself sitting back and soaking in all that beautiful warmth and light.

The boys helped me to make this little centerpiece. I used wool felt balls. The boys strung them on some thread and then I just draped them over the stick we picked out of our yard.

Those sweet little duckies are still bringing a smile to my face. Finding them on my last thrifting adventure was such a treat!

Thank you much for stopping by today, Happy Spring and Blessings to you!

Bree
