Hi there friends!! If you’ve just come Jordan’s blog, A Blue Nest, welcome! I’m so glad you’re stopping by today. Isn’t her little girls room just beautiful! I always loved the Nutcracker and that room just gives me all the feels!
I’m so glad to have the opportunity to share a fun blog hop with you today! I’ve joined some wonderful friends to share out favorite rooms in our homes all decked out for Christmas! So be sure to stick around all the way at the bottom of this post I’ve linked up all of their gorgeous spaces!
What does Christmas mean to you? I think we could all agree that it’s often filled with joy, togetherness, traditions, fun festivities, celebration and worship, love, and maybe a couple extra pounds tacked on by the end of the year…uh-hem..cookies I’m looking at you 😉 I also think we can all agree that there is something quite magical about stringing up those twinkle lights. Dressing your tree with ornaments from years past or maybe some homemade ones, like dried fruit and cranberry/popcorn garlands. Or making those cookies that your Grandmother use to make when you were little. I know all of those things make our home feel a little extra special this time of year. Like previous years, I’ve so enjoyed taking the time to “deck my halls” Though I will admit compared to years past, this year it’s really toned down, however using less has truly been so refreshing. The boys and I worked on drying out oranges and making our own homemade gingerbread for the tree and aside from our ingredients for our homemade items I didn’t add anything new this year. I’m feeling beyond blessed by the slowness and simplicity of our homemade Christmas and I truly hope you enjoy it too!

“When we recall Christmas past, we usually find that the simplest things—not the great occasions—give off the greatest glow of happiness.”
Bob Hope

“I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.”
Charles Dickens

“The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other.”
Burton Hills

You have made such a beautiful home. Looking at your space makes me regret making most of the rooms in our house into art studios. Between my husband and I, we have so many hobbies that it is hard to make our home feel fresh and pretty. For cryin’ out loud! Even your books make me want to recover all of my books so that they have pretty spines. LOL, but then I think of the time…. ah well, it is what it is. ❤
