A Simple Christmas Mantle

I remember Christmases long ago…well about 20+ years ago, haha… my mom decorating our mantle with stockings and little knick knacks around Christmas time, my dad keeping a toasty fire going in the fireplace. To me nothing says cozy Christmas quite like a warm fire to snuggle around, amiright!!? Now as an adult I carry those sweet memories with me and they truly influence how I do things in my own home, particularly around the holidays.  I take those special moments and use them as inspiration to create a home where my little family will create moments and memories of our own.

When I first saw this house my initial thoughts were, “it has a fireplace!! I can’t wait to deck it out for Christmas!” And here we are Christmas time has finally come! It’s officially December and if I’m being honest I’ve already decorated my mantle 3 different ways…but, I think I finally have it perfectly situated to my liking, so I thought I’d share it with you today! Everything I used were items I already had and with a quick can of spray paint I transformed some old rusty bells that I think add the perfect finishing touch.

I just love those cute ceramic houses from Target. I picked up a bunch of them last season, simple and sweet!

I spy a little guy in the reflection of the fireplace surround!

I just love using brass accent pieces especially at Christmas time, it just feels so classic!

This was mantle number two, but all of my garland dried up really quickly. So I decided to pull it down and start over!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!
