“He’s tender and bashful but boyish and brute impossibly clever and cunningly cute”
Hello hello buddies!! Today I have a fun room reveal for you! I’m sure it’s pretty obvious whose room it is, a certain little boy, of course! A little boy who just so happens to be turning SIX next month. I can hardly believe it.
When we moved 3 months ago, the hubs and I agreed that the boys’ bedrooms should take priority. Mainly because this was their first move into a new home and we really wanted to get them excited for the change. We did end up working on a couple of small projects before we tackled their rooms. But, that was because they ended up needing a little more work than we originally anticipated and we needed the extra time to get them ready. Oh and it may have taken me a bit to finally decide what I wanted to do, haha.
We were originally going to do navy shiplap in my oldest’s room but I just couldn’t commit to that plan. Even though I changed my mind many times, the room ended up being exactly what I wanted it to be. Its bright, simple, and refreshing. There are a couple of little odds and ends that need to be finished, like a random phone line sticking out of the floor, haha. I just couldn’t wait to share it any longer. So don’t mind that.
I tried to stay true to my style, a little mid century, some modern farmhouse with some vintage touches all while trying to represent him and displaying things that he loves. It is his room after all… I think I pulled it off and I’d love to hear what you think. So keep on scrolling for lots of pictures and all the links and sources at the bottom!

We were so fortunate to be given this bedroom set from the previous owners. They gave it to us for a steal, it’s in wonderful condition and it’s perfect for our little boy!

As many of you know, my son loves Star Wars. So I knew I wanted to incorporate that into his room but without going overboard. I wanted subtle, so I was so excited to find this moon printable on Etsy as well as the patent Boba Fett print. Some mats and frames and there you have it, inexpensive artwork!

The valances are new and we already had all of the bedding so that really helped me to stay within my small budget. The bedding and valances are from Target.

I found a bunch of vintage pennants and I’ve been having fun incorporating them in our home. I think these add a nice pop of color against the white walls.

There you have it friends, I really think he loves it and that makes my Mama heart so happy. The whole room cost less than $200 to complete, thankfully we already had the majority of what we needed. Simple inexpensive decor is my favorite!
Thanks so much for stopping by today friends! I hope you enjoyed this little room reveal!
Blessings ❤ Bree
