Wow, I can’t even believe we’ll be entering the first few days of February this week. Anyone else feel like January flew by? This past week was pretty uneventful for us. So it feels silly to be dedicating a whole blog post to it, haha. I mentioned last week that we’ve all been fighting colds. It all started with my oldest son and then slowly worked its way through all of us. So this week was pretty rough and there were a couple restless nights. But it seems like we are finally on the mend and we even made it to church on Sunday and on time…can I get a Hallelujah!!
I was definitely clinging to my memory verse this past week…
Look to the Lord and His strength, seek His face always. 1 Chronicles 16:11
I guess the Lord knew I was going to need these words to mediate on. A reminder to rely on his strength and not my own.
Since we spent most of our week at home, I was able to knock out some of my to-dos though I never made it to the donation center, my plan is to drop off on Monday before we stop at the grocery store.
My older son Braedan was so excited to earn another jewel in his Awana class this week at Church. This age is so fun because you can really see the fruits of your labor paying off. He is grasping so much information, its so exciting to watch him learn so many new things. He is memorizing verses and asking questions, getting more involved and it’s such a blessing and an encouragement to me as his Mama.
My Hubby and I decided that for the month of February we’ll be setting a goal to not spend any extra money. I’m actually looking forward to the challenge. I can honestly say, there are obviously many things I’d like to buy, but theres really nothing that I need so I’m thinking this little challenge shouldn’t be too hard, haha…maybe 😉
As I was finishing up this blog post, at 11:00 pm Braedan came out of his bedroom calling my name and then literally threw up all over the hallway and bathroom floor. So remember when I said I thought we were all on the mend…yeah scratch that, haha.
This Weeks Goals:
Drop off donation items
Stop at the library.
Take Braedan on a little Mommy + Son date.
Make at least one freezer meal.
Work on Blog DIY post for upcoming Blog Hop
Finish reading Treasuring Christ: when your hands are full, I wish I could say I had finished it and could start something new. But I just didn’t carve the time out this past week. But I’m hoping to finish this week and I am certainly taking book recommendations!
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Originally my meal plan was Chili, Chicken Burritos, Stuffed Chicken, and Chicken Noodle Soup but it looks like our diet is going to be a little more bland this week…I guess we’ll be sticking to Bananas.Rice.Apples.Toast – oh stomach bug, how I loath you!!
