From My Christmas Home To Yours {Home Tour, Part II}

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear….and decorating your house! Am I right, or am I right? There is something so sweet and cheerful about relaxing in front of a lit up Christmas tree while sipping hot cocoa. It truly warms the soul! This year for my Christmas decor I can’t really say I went with a specific theme. I just stuck to me, what I like, and tried to make it feel cozy. I used what I already had and added a couple new little things here or there. My only large decor purchase was my flocked Christmas tree from Walmart, for a whopping $70. The snowy(ness) adds so much to my Christmas decor I can’t believe I didn’t buy one sooner. In all honesty I haven’t even decorated my main tree, haha. And I don’t think I’m going to. One reason because I actually am really enjoying it bare and reason number two…my two year old. Lets just say the score is Benjamin 3 and my glass ornaments are 0.

I’m pretty excited for today’s post because, I’m bringing you my Christmas home tour. I already shared my bedroom tour you can read that here. It also just so happens to be my first Christmas blogging, woot woot! I’ve also teamed up with some of my very best insta friends to bring you a little Christmas blog hop. So without further ado…get ready to be bombarded with a million pictures. Make sure to check out the other amazing blogs at the bottom of this post!!

My favorite thing to do is come down early in the morning, turn the Christmas tree on, listen to my audio bible, while sipping my coffee. It’s like a little slice of heaven.

My very bare Christmas tree. But, I still love it. For this corner I added a blanket scarf in a plaid pattern. I think it adds warmth and coziness to the leather chair. The pillow is actually a cover I made. I just sewed two tea towels together along the edges horizontally and left the ends open and just slipped the pillow right in. I love the fringe on the ends!

I DIYed the wooden nativity set several years ago. It brings me so much happiness setting it out every year.

The chicken feeder was a DIY project you can read that post here. I love it with the books and little bit of greenery. I don’t think I’ll ever change it again, which is saying a lot coming from me, haha.

I quickly DIYed my Christmas trees sign on the back of one of my other signs. I also made that adorable pine tree cross stitch this year, I got the idea from The Golden Sycamore  you can see her original post here.   Those little ceramic houses were Target Dollar Spot finds.

The ever changing coffee bar. If you follow along on IG than you know it doesn’t look like this anymore, haha.

I threw a couple little trees onto my kitchen shelves but really tried to stay neutral and keep it minimal, since there is already a lot going on. And of course I love my sign made by my friend Rachel @thewoodedlane

And what kind of homemaker would I be if I didn’t end my Christmas home tour without a picture of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. I was going to leave you the recipe here… but, realized you can just look on the back of your nestle tollhouse chocolate chip bag, lol. Happy Baking Friends!

Well, that concludes my Christmas home tour. Nothing super fancy or overly flashy, just a simple Christmas home. I’m so glad you stopped by today. I’m hoping that you are leaving feeling inspired and refreshed. Inspired to create a space that you love, a place where your family and friends feel welcome, loved and cozy. Home decor doesn’t have to be expensive or extravagant to be beautiful and inviting. Merry Christmas and Blessings friends!

  3. Oh Bree, I always just adore everything about your home, and all of your Christmas decor just makes it ever more perfect! So beautiful and cozy, and your flocked tree is giving me all the heart eyes. Can I come over for 5 cups of coffee from that cute coffee station of yours and binge watch Gilmore Girls??
