Fall Blog Series {A California Home Tour}

Happy Saturday, dear friends! I hope y’all had a great week. I’m so excited (I feel like I always start my posts off with I am so excited, haha) but it’s so true. I love sharing my home, life, ideas with all of you. And today is even more exciting because I get to share a sweet friend’s home with you. I have met so many wonderful people on Instagram and this woman is no exception. The woman behind today’s home is Nelly and y’all this girl is awesome! She is so fun {and funny.} Her home is beautiful and she’s so genuine, I know you’re going to love her too. So after you’re done reading this post I hope you’ll jump on over to Instagram and follow her (if you’re not already) @nellyfriedel

Hi friends! My name is Nelly Friedel and I live in Northern California with my husband Carl, my two kids Ethan and Kylie, my four dogs Duke, Haley, Lexie, and Charlie and can’t forget about my sweet cat Layla! Haha…I know it’s a lot! We have lived in our first home for about 7 1/2 years. I’m a stay at home mom that has a passion for decorating. It’s really like therapy for me! When I’m having a bad day or not feeling so well I just love to rearrange things in my house, change things around or doing lots of DIY’s! It’s just a thing I love to do! I also really enjoy thrifting/antiquing when I can.

For my entryway, I wanted the fall decor to be simple, so I added some cotton stems, greenery, some faux birch wood and some white pumpkins. I love the way everything looks with my new church pew that I just recently bought and my new fall sign from Kristen at 24th and Mulberry.

For my living room I wanted to keep everything simple as well so I just added pumpkins with greenery in a basket and pumpkins on the coffee table with my favorite candle from Inspired Light Co.

For my coffee bar I wanted more of a “pumpkin everything” theme, if that makes sense, haha. So I added the cotton stems around my chalkboard and the pumpkins to the middle shelf of the table. I love how it turned out.

In my dining room, again I wanted a really simple look to it. I added a pumpkin centerpiece to our table. I love the colors of these pumpkins with the cotton stems and white flowers. I think everything compliments each other so well.

Well y’all how gorgeous is Nelly’s home? I love all the warm neutral colors and the simplicity of everything. It’s so relaxing and inviting, don’t you think? And did you look at her cabinet filled with all that Rae Dunn and copper, I.can’t.even!!! So much pretty!! I really hope you enjoyed today’s tour and don’t forget to show Nelly some love on Instagram!!

  1. Nelly’s home and IG feed are both lovely. Love the groupings of pumpkins in her beautiful space. Thanks for sharing the tour.
