Fall Inspiration For Your Table

Y’all, I am so thrilled to share this post with you today. I was asked by my sweet friend and fellow blogger, Kelly, to join her and some other talented ladies to bring you a fall blog hop. Our focus is on fall table settings and I had so much fun putting this together to share with all of you! You can see all the blogs participating in the “hop” below for more fall inspiration!

Over the past several months I’ve been trying to add pieces of kitchenware to my small collection. I’ve tried to be very patient (which is normally not a strong characteristic for me) and very particular with what I added to my collection. Thankfully, I’ve been able to slowly find the perfect pieces! Don’t you just love when things fall right into place? There are still items I’d like to eventually add but I’m so happy with what I’ve come across so far. If you’ve been following me for a bit then you know my style tends to lean towards farmhouse/cottage with lots of vintage and antique items. I love pops of color but try to stick with a lot of neutrals. It’s taken me many years to really figure out my style because I like so many different ones. But, I’ve finally found that rather than just sticking to one particular style when decorating, I just need to stick to me. Choose things that I love whether it’s trendy or not, whether everyone likes it or not doesn’t really matter. I think we all should make our homes feel special to us and not worry so much about design rules.

Anyhoo…back on track, haha. All that to say because I like neutrals with pops of color, when it comes to holidays I stick to that style as well. I don’t go crazy with traditional seasonal colors because I want items that I can use all year. I like to keep my home simple and keep things in my home that are functional all year long. So without further ado here is my simple fall table scape. If you’re wondering where the silverware is I just decided not to put it in the pictures. I don’t really have any fancy silverware at this point anyway. But I promise you we don’t eat our meals with just our hands, haha (I really wish I could insert the laughing/crying emoji)

I wanted to incorporate nature into my table scape. I love mixing white and green, I feel like it makes a space feel so fresh and clean. I started with a simple wood dough bowl. I laid some faux greenery (you can easily use fresh, but I wanted this to last and not end up turning brown) Then I simply placed my white minis on top of the greenery and threw some antlers in for some added texture. I love every single bit of it.

blue and white china, ironstone…white pumpkins…be still my heart.

Did I mention I love white pumpkins? The table runner I picked up from Walmart a little while back for somewhere around $5 and the glass candle holders were a HomeGoods find earlier this year.

The glasses were given to us by my Husband’s Granny before she passed away. I cherish them. I broke one a few years ago, and I know they are just things but I may have cried a little. Thankfully I still have 7 more!

I found the large dinner plates at HomeGoods this past summer and I love the vintage/antique vibe they have. They pair so well with my ironstone and blue and white china.

Well friends, there you have it, my inexpensive simple fall table scape. I hope more than anything this post has encouraged you to pull out those old dishes from your grandmother. Go around and shop your house and remember that nature provides oodles of inexpensive (even free) decor. You can never have too many pumpkins or greens, am.i.right? haha!

  2. I love every single detail! Blue and white anything speaks to my heart! I especially love your blue and white ironstone china. Do you happen to know the name of the pattern? I have 4 tea cups and would love to find more!

    1. Thank you so much Kelly, I really enjoyed this blog hop! So much fun. I believe it’s called blue onion. From what I’ve learned about it, several different companies produced the pattern, so it should be pretty easy to come by!
