Fall Blog Series {A South Carolina Home Tour}

You guys!! I am so excited for today! Several weeks ago I reached out to some friends on Instagram and asked them to share their homes with us. I really wanted to focus on how they incorporate Fall into their home decor and I was so thrilled that they all jumped right on board! These girls are kind, fun, encouraging, talented, and the icing on the cake, their homes are gorgeous! Over the next couple weeks I’m going to be sharing their homes with y’all. I am inspired by each one and I just know you will be too! So without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to my sweet friend Bethany.

My name is Bethany and I live in upstate South Carolina with my husband Adam and our two cats Harlow and Ben. We are newlyweds living in our first home. We were married in April 2015 at Pretty Place Chapel. I love Jesus and I’m so thankful for his daily grace. I’m a dental hygienist. I enjoy decorating our home and I especially enjoy decorating for each season (especially Christmas)! I love thrifting/antiquing and finding great deals. I also love to garden and plant succulents. Fall is my favorite time of year and I’m so excited to share how I decorated our house for this season. {you can find Bethany on IG @houseofholder}

I wanted our fall porch to be simple and festive this year. I picked up a few pumpkins and mums, and added some texture with pillows and a throw. I decided on a galvanized metal and terra cotta theme. My wonderful husband hung the tobacco basket for me. The cotton wreath on the front door was a DIY made with cotton balls & pine cones.

The table in our entryway was gifted to us by my mother in law. I used homemade chalk paint to paint it white. I also painted some of the pumpkins on the table with chalk paint. I added a cotton wreath from Hobby Lobby to give texture to the antique printer’s tray hanging above the table.

I added just a few fall touches to our living room. A few pumpkins, feathers, cotton and a more neutral palate gave the room a cozy look I was going for. The shelves in this room were built by my hubby and I used the Shanty Sisters online plan.

The mantle was gifted by my best friend after she used it in her wedding.

I knew I wanted to do something fun and different for the centerpiece on our kitchen table. I chalk painted several pumpkins, added two candlesticks and some dried eucalyptus. I love to use whites and copper throughout our kitchen. One of my favorite things in our kitchen is the antique scale. I love bringing antique pieces into our home because it’s fun to think of the history that follows each piece.

Well friends, are you as sad as I am that the tour is over!? Isn’t Bethany’s home so elegant and sweet? I love how natural her Fall decor is, I just love it all! I hope you enjoyed todays post and don’t forget if you’re on IG to go show Bethany some love @houseofholder and of course you can find me @thehomemakingmomma. Until next time, blessings friends!

❤ Bree
